Ticklepot was the last ABC Children’s Radio Programme to be made. It was heard each week day on Radio National from 1988-1991 and was hugely popular. Each episode, based on a song by Peter Combe, is an adventure in the lives of Peter and Monkey with frequent appearances by their friends Parrot and Tortoise. It was voted best children’s programme in the world in New York in 1989. Why the ABC stopped producing it is one of life's great mysteries!
